In honor of Cinco de Mayo, I give you one of my favorites: margaritas and pico de gallo from El Cid 2 in Chicago!

I need to take about a million more photos of their delicious drinks, salsas, and entrees. But I only have the one photo of this margarita because I was far more interested in drinking it than photographing it! Very few things make me happier than a frozen mango margarita and fish tacos from El Cid on a hot summer Sunday afternoon--except maybe to enhance that meal with a copy of the Chicago Reader or a good friend.

This blog is supposed to be about Cinco de Mayo, but now all I can think about are hot Chicago summer days. C'monnnnnn summer!!!!! Oh, how I look forward to another El Cid margarita on their back patio...
