Photo of the Day, January 25, 2009

This photo is a current favorite for a number of reasons. First, I was invited and hired by a friend to shoot the images for her first "look book" for the launch of her fashion line, Lily and Migs. That alone was flattering and a huge honor. Secondly, I found this great studio space that fit the look, feel, and attitude of the line perfectly. (Thanks, Studio Leora!) Thirdly, the models were all outstanding. Even though Lily and Migs hired the models as "time for prints", each came with a professional, winning attitude and willingness to do whatever was required to get great photos. I hardly had to do any coaching or instructing. And with this girl in particular (Tristian). I would start to give an instruction, and she would move exactly how I needed her to before even finishing my sentence. What a smooth, easy shoot for me.

I hope you all keep your eyes peeled, look for the Lily and Migs line coming to stores near you soon. I hope I get another chance to work with the models from this shoot again: Tristian, Kelly, and Minerva. I've also recommended the stylist, Melissa Messer, to a future bride for her wedding day. I wish Jenn and Lauren the VERY BEST in introducing Lily and Migs to the world! And I hope my photos do just a little in helping their effort be even more successful.
