Perhaps the most precious moment of a wedding, or at least one of many... The kiss that "seals the deal". This young couple captured my heart with their hope, love, and obvious undying love for one another. Deepening the special meaning of their Christmas union, they wanted to exchange vows before this brave Marine headed to Iraq for a tour of duty.
The short depth of field and selective focus on the couple kissing artfully emphasizes the fact that the rest of the world sort of melts away for this one moment in time. This kiss is only about these two people and their love for each other. The lyrics "I'll stop the world and melt with you" come to mind everytime I see a photo of the first wedded kiss. Pure bliss. I wish these two the very best for many, many years to come, and thank this young solider for his service to our country.
