This large downtown Chicago parade features a number of dancers, politicians, and community groups, all celebrating their heritage and pride in their native land of Puerto Rico, as well as the United States. The parade is part of Humboldt Park's six day Fiesta Puertorriqueñas celebrating Latin food, music, culture, dance, art, and community as well as history, empowerment, and community.
If you get the chance, I highly encourage you to head over to Humboldt Park to get some amazing food and take in the boisterous celebration. There's nothing else like it and all are welcome, no matter what your cultural heritage!
